Schtick Buddies is an augmented puppet show that combines physical puppetry with digital live animation. The goal was to create a narrative and characters that the audience could be drawn into and perhaps hold some empathy with.
Each puppeteer has a puppet controller that manipulates the facial expressions and eye movements that bring the puppets to life. The controllers are modified usb game controllers, they have an analogue stick for the facial expressions, an analogue stick for the position of the eyes and some spare buttons for more potential interactions.
